Mnemba’s reef is why divers and snorkelers fly to the north-east. You cannot land on the private island, but the water around the atoll is the point: clear, busy with fish, and close enough for a day trip.
We add the turtle aquarium swim — a supervised lagoon experience — and time on Nungwi or Kendwa so the day ends on a swimming beach, not in a minibus. Dolphin sightings on the crossing are a bonus, never a promise.
